    An Approach to Establishment of Cars to Road Management System


    Abstract

    Traffic accidents have recently become a significant terror for all members of the community, their contribution to the cause of death and huge economic losses have become very large, this is due to the violation of the traffic rules and exceeding the speed limit for the road by the drivers. The main objective of this study is to improve the traffic flow to overcome these problems. The methodology used in this study is to design a communication system between the road and the car to alert and control the speed of the car wirelessly via XBEE; it consists of a two transceiver module. The device is fixed at Predetermined position send the speed limit and gives notes about general facilities of the road like the word “emergency” to inform the drivers that there is an ambulance, this alert appear in a form of messages which displayed on the Liquid Crystal Display LCD. The other device is fixed on the car that received these messages wirelessly, and then displays it on the LCD.

    Illegal speed of vehicles inside cities and on high ways causes dangerous accidents lead to loss of life, injuries and mass economic loss in possessions. In this work, car to road communication system has been demonstrated to improve road safety, helps in reduce traffic violations and facilitate traffic for emergency cars and notify for the legal speed of the road wirelessly. The basic concept of this paper is to design a communication system between the road and cars to notify the driver by sends informations about the road. The system consists of three modules: PC, device on the road (a road device TR1) and device on the cars (normal car device RX, and ambulance car device TR2)
