    Bluetooth Based Heart Beat using Android Application


    Abstract

    Tracking the health status of an outpatient is very difficult. This project proposes system architecture for smart healthcare based on an advanced wireless sensor network using Android. This project is developed for the users to sense the Heartbeat of the patient in the mobile phone. The main part of the Unit is Microcontroller, Heart beat sensor, Bluetooth module, LCD display and mobile phone. The heart beat sensor IS connected with the patient’s body. The sensor send signal to the Microcontroller unit through driver section. The micro controller immediately sends corresponding signal to the Bluetooth transmitter and also to the LCD display. The Bluetooth receiver in the mobile phone receives the Bluetooth signal and the android application displays the heart beat rate. The Doctor can view the status of the patient through his mobile in wireless manner. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F877A. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
