    Hospital Automation


    Abstract

    This project is developed for the doctors to test the heart beat and temperature of the patient and also stores the status in PC. The main part of the unit is microcontroller, heart beat sensor, temperature sensor and PC. The heart beat sensor and temperature sensor is connected to the body. Temperature sensor is used to sense the temperature of the patient and heartbeat sensor is used to sense the patient’s heartbeat. The sensors details are send to the Microcontroller unit through driver section. The microcontroller immediately sends signal to the PC through serial port. Doctor can see the patient details through PC. The software in the PC receives the signal and accordingly displays the status of the heart beat and temperature of the patient. If the doctor is not available at a particular time, the details are stored in the PC and he can analyze it when ever necessary. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language and the port programs are written in Visual Basic. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73.
