    RFID Based Attendance Management System


    Abstract

    This project is developed for user authentication in Attendance management using RFID. The main modules in this project are RF Tag, Card Reader, Microcontroller unit and PC. The RF ID card is a specially designed card. Each user in the institution will have the Card. The card reader is connected with the main door. As soon as a user scratches a card near the sensor, it evaluates the card and sends signal to the computer through serial port and also to the microcontroller unit. The computer analyses the signal and maintains the entry register. The computer also searches the user from the user list and displays the full details of the user. When the user leaves the institution, he has to scratch the card near the reader. Otherwise it will produce siren. This is very much used in Institutions where security and authentication are required. The design and port programs are written in Visual Basic. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73. The microcontroller programming is written in assembly language.
