    Android Based Street Tracking System


    Abstract

    Currently in the whole world enormous electric energy is consumed street lights are usually very costly to operate bad controlling of street lights lead to vehicle accidents. Today street lights system is not flexible most of the controlling is manual where as some are automated based on environment parameters. Biggest problem is to handle remote area locations manual mistakes result into power wastage. So there is a need of efficient street light system. Android based street light tracking system is introduced in this project. Photo detector is placed in the particular location along the street. It is used to find the light intensity in the particular location. Photo detector value is received by the android app. Android app is designed to show the locations in which street lights are in fault condition. Android app receives photo detector value along with the GPS data of the location. GPS tracker in the android phone is utilized to receive GPS data of the particular location. Received photo detector value of the particular location will be shown in the map view. Map view shows the faulty street lights and location. Thus the fault condition of the street light will be found using the proposed method.
