Design and Implementation of PLC System Control and Monitoring of Induction Motor

    Abstract

To ensure proper facilities or process operation, it is important to monitor the operating performance of important components such as motors. Temperature monitoring and control is important in industry environments. The heat generated by motors can be detected before the devices get to be damaged. Sensors are widely used for measurement of temperature. This project consists of heat sensor, PLC, driver, relay, LCD display, Motor. Heat sensors are connected at the main parts of the motor. Heat sensor is used to sense the temperature. If the temperature is high, then the motor should be stopped to avoid damage. According to the level of heating, the sensors send signal to the PLC kit. PLC generates the control signal to control motor according to the heat sensor input. Generated control signal will be given to the motor through driver relay section.
