Smart Home Based Power Saving System

    Abstract

Home automation is the residential extension of building automation and involves the control and automation of lighting, heating, air conditioning and security. This project is developed to reduce power consumption by introducing home automation. This project consists of door sensor, light sensor, temperature sensor, microcontroller, driver, relay and loads. Light sensor is used to detect the light intensity in the room. Temperature sensor is used to sense the temperature inside the room. Door sensor is used to control the door access. All the sensors output is given to the microcontroller. Microcontroller generates the control signal according to the sensor outputs. That control signal is given to loads such as door, fan, light through driver and relay.
