Voice Based Robot Using PC Through Wireless

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to control a Robot through voice commands like Forward, Reverse, Left and Right. The user can control all the movements of the robot through voice in wireless manner. When the user commands, the microphone receives the sound and sends to the PC. The PC generates a corresponding digital signal and sends through the serial port. The microcontroller receives the signal through RS 232 and sends signal to the driver section. This signal is thus used to drive a corresponding relay in the external electronic circuit. The relay operates the RF transmitter in a particular frequency. The RF receiver is connected with the Robot. It receives the signal and accordingly controls the movements of the motor. By this way the user can control any of the operations of the Robot. A Set of IR transducers are connected in the eye of the robot. It senses if there are any obstacles in front of it. If any obstacles, the sensors send signal to the microcontroller and the microcontroller operates a stepper motor which is connected at the neck of the robot. Thus the robot moves its head left and right and searches for the way where there are no obstacles. If there are no obstacles, the robot will move. The design and port programs are written in Visual Basic. The Microcontroller program is written in assembly language. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73.
