Speed And Direction Control Of Dc Motor Using GSM

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to control the operations of a Fan through mobile phone. The user can control the speed of the fan. It can be used to control the operations of the fan from any distance, overcoming the limited range of infrared and radio remote controls. The circuit can be used to control up to nine operations (corresponding to the digits 1 through 9 of the mobile key-pad). The DTMF signals on mobile instrument are used as control signals. The digit ‘0’ in DTMF mode is used to toggle between the appliance mode and normal mobile operation mode. Thus the mobile phone can be used to control the operations of the fan also while being used for normal conversation. The circuit uses IC 8870 (DTMF to BCD converter), PIC16F73 Microcontroller (4 to 16 line DE multiplexer). The overall operation of this circuit is controlled by the Microcontroller (Programmed for DE multiplexer). We can also control the operations using cell phone. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
