    Blood Pressure Monitoring Using Microcontroller And LCD


    Abstract

    This project is developed for the users to display the blood pressure in the PC. It consists of a heart pressure sensor, amplifier, microcontroller unit, LCD etc. The blood pressure sensor is connected with the heart beat oscillator. For testing purpose, the frequency of the heart beat oscillator can be adjusted. The heart beat sensor senses the heart beat and sends to the amplifier. The amplifier amplies the signal and sends to the ADC of the microcontroller. The microcontroller analyses the signal and sends signal to the LCD through serial port. The program in the LCD is developed for displaying the count of patient’s body conditions. This works like a ECG. Since microcontroller is used, the wave form will be very accurate. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
