Microcontroller Based Moving Message Display

Abstract

This project is developed for the users to use a moving message display using PC. This mainly consists of PC, PC interface, microcontroller unit and LED display board. The design and port programs are written in Visual basic. In the software interface, the user can enter the message to be displayed in the LED display. When the user presses the run button, the PC sends corresponding signal to the microcontroller unit through serial port. The microcontroller receives the signal through RS232 and sends corresponding signal to the LED matrix controlling section. The LED matrix controlling section sends signal to the LED matrix to display the message. Since LED matrix form is used, we can display any message in the LED display. The message in the screen can be moved as the desire of the user.
