Phase Monitoring And Controlling A Motor Through Mobile

    Abstract

This project is developed for Phase monitoring and control of induction motor through Mobile. It consists of a microcontroller unit. The embedded controller is the CPU that decides the operation of the unit. The embedded controller used here is PIC16F73 microcontroller. Since the controller has the inbuilt peripherals it is called as embedded controller. A Phase sensor is connected with the power line. It senses the availability of phase and sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller sends corresponding signal to the PC through serial port. The software in the PC is developed for receiving the data and to send the data through Internet. The user can view the phase details and also control the operation of the motor in using his mobile phone. The PC interfacing software is running in the mobile phone. The mobile phone and the PC are linked through Internet. The microcontroller receives the signal through USART and controls the operation of the motor. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
