    Automatic Dust Bin Controller

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to control the cleaning operation of a Dustbin automatically. Usually after the dustbin is filled, we will clean it. But this project maintains the cleaning process automatically. An IR transducer is connected at the top of the dust bin. A door and piston setup is connected at the bottom of the dustbin. In normal operation, the IR receiver receives the IR rays from the IR transmitter. When the dustbin is filled, the IR rays are stopped by the dust inside and thus the sensor sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller switches on the burner for some time and then extinguish the fire. Then it controls the door and piston setup to get out the dusts inside the dustbin through drivers and relays. After some time, the door gets closed and now the user can drop dusts inside the dustbin. This system is very useful in institutions, companies where there is crowd. This project uses PIC 16F73 microcontroller and the microcontroller program is written in Assembly language.
