    Blue Tooth Based Device Control

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to control multiple devices using Blue tooth technology. It mainly consists of Blue tooth kit, PC, Microcontroller kit, LCD display and multiple devices. The Blue tooth kit is connected with the USB port of the Computer. When the user sends message through Cellphone (Blue tooth), the blue tooth kit receives the signal and sends to the PC. The PC receives the signal and accordingly it sends corresponding signal through serial port. The microcontroller circuit is connected with the serial port through RS 232. The microcontroller receives the signal and accordingly sends signal to the driver section. The driver section operates the corresponding relay to operate the particular device. The status of the operation of the particular device is displayed in the LCD display so that the user can see the status of the device even in the absence of the PC. By this way, the user can operate(On/Off) all the devices through message using blue tooth technology. The design and port programs are written in Visual basic. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73.
