    Data Communication Through Power Lines

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to send and receive data through power lines. It consists of microcontroller, encoder, decoder, amplifier etc. In power lines, we use 230V AC. But we can transmit data through the power lines. In this project we transmit sound signals. The sound signals from the microphone is encoded and sends through the power lines. Now the encoded signal is transmitted with the 230V AC. In the other terminal a decoder is connected with the power lines. The decoder extracts the sound signal from the power lines. This extracted sound signal is amplified using an amplifier. The sound can be heard through a speaker. Since this project uses no external wire for communication, it is very economic. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73.
