Prepaid Energy Meter

Abstract

The prepaid energy meter is to monitor and control a system load using microcontroller in a prepaid manner. It consists of a microcontroller unit, key pad and a LCD display. The user can add the validity of their account by giving a secret code. Their account will be updated if the code is valid. The value set by the user will be displayed in a LCD display. The user can use the electricity up to the certain limit. The user can also watch their usage level in the display. If the validity is over the electricity will be cut automatically. Again if recharged, they can use the electricity. The Microcontroller programs are written in assembly language. This will be very useful in industries, houses, and institution and also easy to electricity department.
