Dam Level Indicator Using SMS

Abstract

This project is developed for the user to monitor the dam level using GSM. The main part of the unit is level sensor, microcontroller, serial port, GSM modem and LCD display. Level sensor is connected in the dam. It is used to sense the water level of the dam. When the water is reaches a particular level, sensor sends the signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller immediately sends corresponding signal to the GSM module through serial port. The GSM module transmits the message to the authority person. LCD display displays the water level of the dam. Thus the person can view the status of the dam level through his mobile. The microcontroller used is PIC16F73. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
