Automated Wheelchairs extend the capabilities of traditional powered devices by introducing control and navigational intelligence. These devices can ease the lives of many disabled people, particularly those with severe impairments by increasing their range of mobility. It can be used by physically challenged person to move inside the home without any difficulty. This project is used to guide and control the wheelchair for disabled people based on movement of their neck and voice. In the proposed system, we use a neck sensor which senses the movement of the neck. Neck sensor signal is sent to the microcontroller. User can control the wheelchair through voice. Android app is used for the purpose of voice recognition. Recognized voice by the app will be sent to the microcontroller using Bluetooth. Forward, reverse, left, right, start, stop can be given as command to the microcontroller through voice. The microcontroller generates the control signal according to voice and neck movement. Finally, the microcontroller sends signal to the motor through driver section.
