Advanced Vehicle Path Information Intimation System

Abstract

Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) are advanced applications which, without embodying intelligence as such, aim to provide innovative services relating to different modes of transport and enable various users to be better informed and make safer, more coordinated, and smarter use of transport networks. To improve the transportation system there is need to incorporate wireless communication with transportation system. In this project an advanced vehicle path information intimation using wireless communication is introduced. There are 2 sections in this project. Section1 is associated with vehicle. User should enter the destination place through keypad. The keypad is connected to the microcontroller. ZIGBEE in section 1 transmits the data to the ZIGBEE in section 2. In section 2 ZIGBEE is connected to the pc. In pc shortest path to that destination place is stored in the computer. According to the received signal in ZIGBEE in section 2, the pc searches the data. The result is sent to the section 1 through ZIGBEE. The Shortest path will be shown in the LCD display.
