    Advanced Vehicle Monitoring System

    Abstract

When a vehicle is taken reverse, we require the help of others. Sometimes other’s prediction may be fault so that the vehicle may dash any objects. This project is developed for the users to identify the back and front distance of obstacles using ultrasonic sensors. Also this project senses the amount of CO pollution and heat of the engine and to display it in the LCD display. It consists of two IR transducers, heat sensor, CO sensor, microcontroller unit and LCD display. One transducer is connected at the front side and the other is connected at the back. The heat sensor is connected with the engine. The CO sensor is connected near the exhaust system. These sensors are connected with the microcontroller. The front and back sensor senses the distance between the vehicle and the obstacles and sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller calculates the distance and sends corresponding data to the LCD display. The heat sensor senses the heat of the engine and sends to the microcontroller. Also the CO sensor senses the amount of CO in the exhaust system and sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller sends corresponding data to the LCD display. If anything exceeds the prescribed limit, the microcontroller operates the buzzer. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F877. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
