Fingerprint Based Attendance Management System

Abstract

This project is developed for the users to maintain staff attendance register through finger print. It consists of a finger print tracer (CD drive connected in the PC). When the user places his finger in the tracer (When the particular finger print CD is inserted). The card is designed using logical values. Each card will have different logical value. The card holder (Slot) is connected with the circuit. As soon as an employee insert a card in to the slot, it evaluates the card and sends the corresponding signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller analyses the signal and identifies the individual. It stores the attendance of the particular individual. The details will be displayed in a LCD display. This is very much used in companies where security and authentication are required. This project uses microcontroller PIC16F73. The microcontroller programs are written in Assembly language.
