This project deals with Stepper motor operations using voice recognition. The user can operate a stepper motor through voice commands. The user has to first train the software with some standard words to recognize his own voice. The kit will understand the user’s voice and commands. When the user uses the particular commands like ‘Forward’, ‘Reverse’, ‘Step up’, ‘Step down’ etc, the software recognizes the command and sends signal through the serial port. If any un authorized persons try to execute, the software does not respond. The microcontroller receives the signal through RS232. Accordingly, the microcontroller sends signal to the driver section and it controls the stepper motor. This project is secure so that un authorized users cannot do any operations using their voice commands. The main part of the project is Microcontroller PIC16F73. The port program is written in Visual basic and the Microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
