This project is developed for the users to identify transmission line faults like open circuit and power failure etc. The main part of the circuit is a Continuity sensor, power sensor, RF transducer, LCD display and microcontroller. The continuity sensor is connected in series with the load. The power sensor is connected across the load. In case of open circuit, the sensor sends signal to the RF transmitter. Also in case of power failure, the voltage transformer sends signal to the RF transmitter. The RF transmitter transmits the fault in wireless manner. The RF receiver module is connected with the microcontroller unit. It receives the RF signal and sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to analyze the signal. Thus the microcontroller analyses the signal and sends signal to the LCD display through LCD driver accordingly. Thus the user can check the faults like open circuit and power failure etc in wireless manner. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73.
