AUTOMATIC BUTTON OPERATED GEAR SHIFTING MECHANISM

Abstract

There has been a serious demand for intermittent movement of packages in the industries right from the start. Though the continuous movement is more or less important in the same field of the sporadic motion has become essential. This project is developed for the users to change the gear in electronic manner. The main parts are Gear mechanism, gear changing buttons, microcontroller unit, gear motor etc. The gear changing lever in the vehicle is connected with the Gear motor. When the gear changing key is pressed in the key panel, the microcontroller senses the signal and controls the gear changing motor through driver and relay mechanism. To step up the gear from neutral, the gear changing motor rotates in forward direction and to step down the gear, the motor rotates in reverse direction. The gear can be changed by pressing the key again and again while pressing the clutch lever. This mechanism is very easy to change the gear.
