Online vehicle rental management system is an autonomous system which will preserve the records of the all the cars available, cars rented etc. Nowadays, there are online car reservations which give much benefit to user. In online vehicle rental service, to hire a rental unit the customers will request the Online vehicle rental management system through the website. It is more convenient than carrying the cost of owning and maintaining the unit. A vehicle rental or vehicle hire agency is a company that rents automobiles for short period of time for a fee whether in a few hours or a few days or week. It is an extended form of a rental shop, often organized with numerous local branches, and often complemented by a website allowing online reservations. Vehicle rental agencies primarily serve people who have a vehicle that is temporarily out of reach or out of service, for example travelers who are out of town or owners of damaged or destroyed vehicles who are awaiting repair or insurance compensation. Because of the variety of sizes of their vehicles, vehicle rental agencies may also serve the self-moving industry needs, by renting vans or bus. In short, it is a system design specially for large, premium and small vehicle rental business. The vehicle rental system provides complete functionality of listing and booking vehicle.

Existing System

An existing system can provide manually paper work or excel sheet to track the booking and registered vehicles details. The user has to go in the office where the user can get the car on rent and book their car. Most of the time user does not get a sight of the car in which he is planning to travel. Which results in compromising the travel comfort. In the existing system, you cannot provide feedback of the user to the admin directly. The user gets fluctuation every time he/she travels. Maintaining excel sheet or paper book record of reservation is very laborious work. Chances of error are more. No automation involves which means they are a very slow to process.

Proposed System

In the proposed system, the vehicle was hired through the online website. Vehicle rental system has been providing vehicle history detail, vehicle check in and check out details, vehicle servicing detail, payment details. The vehicle owner provides the details of the vehicle in their website. The user registers their details in the website. In order to hire a rental vehicle through online, the customer log into the website and view the vehicle details and the car models (Hatchback, Sedan, SUV) and also the van and bus details. The customer can view the facilities available in the website and book the vehicle by providing the location and time to pick up and end date of the journey.
