Online Voting System Using OTP

Abstract

This project titled “Online Voting System” is used to administrator all the activities in the Election process. The main modules in this project are Voters list, candidates list, Election process and Reports. The voter’s list consists of voter’s particulars. The user can add, edit and delete the voter’s details. The candidate’s list module consists of the candidate details and their symbols. The administrator can add, edit and delete the candidate list. One week before the voting period the admin is used to send the user name password to the voters. The election process module consists of election transaction. It includes Voting, verification, counting etc. In the report module, the user can take reports of voters list, candidate list, and election process. This project provides high security and reliability to the voting process. While the voting process the user wants to login the page. At that time user want to give the user name and password with verification code that is send to the user mobile. By using that code user want to login first. If the verification code entered by the user is wrong means user can retry for 3 times. If three times the user code is incorrect means the login window will be disclose automatically. Correct means the user is allowed for voting process.

Existing System

Before developing any computerized system, it is important to examine the problems in the existing system and the additional information that should be fulfilled in the proposed system. In the existing system the users have to unnecessarily lose their valuable time and efforts. The existing system is manual and the system analyst should study this time first. Several routines are repetitive and the people of different levels do all in the system. They work together for the smooth working of the existing system. In the existing system all transactions are done manually which takes a lot of time.

Proposed System

In the proposed system, the voter list can be viewed and verified by the admin in which it can be maintained under the admin. Further it should be proved and verified by the user through which the data can be maintained under the voter list. The candidate list consists of the candidate details and their symbols. Here administer can add, edit and delete the candidate list. Administer can used to maintain the details of the candidates. The election process of each user can be used to process on the value it can be used to maintain under each user. The report information of the voting system can be updated in the module through which the data can be maintained. The information detail is completely formatted through this system from which it can be maintained.
