Online Engineering Counselling For Students

Abstract

The main objective of college management system is to automate all functionalities of a college counseling properly. Online counseling is the provision of professional education counseling services through the internet and schedules the college allotment. The users can use the online application for their counselling registration process. The application contains the details to get the data from user for their academic details, personal contact details. The seat allotment process was scheduled by the caste wise allotment. Here separate database was maintained by the admin for the details of allotment, which means, caste category (SC/ST/MBC/BC) general has separate seat allotment according to their academic mark also. Then the student rank list was prepared for the admission/seat allotment process. Certain constraints were maintained for this rank list preparation process. After the rank list preparation, the confirmation mail was sent through the mail to the selected candidates. After receiving the confirmation mail, they have to proceed for the admission process. During the admission process, the candidate should come with that confirmation mail copy. That is the authority for the selected candidate via the counseling. This system will help to the student, college and university for proper allotment through online.

Existing System

Generally every students apply counselling first they go to the college and bought an application .Then fill the application and send the application to the university. It is a manual work and waste staff time and papers. Existing process is a time consuming process manual errors are occur in this process. University does not provide proper communicating channel for broadcasting information to the customer. In existing student want to attend the counselling they send to university for attend the counselling. So people meet a long travel for attend the counselling.

Proposed System

Online counselling for student application that helps to all type of students. In the proposed system student counselling process are done in online. Student apply their counselling form using through the online counselling for student application. Admin verifies the application. If the application is wrong then admin will rejected the application. If the application is original then admin will accepted that application and generate a random number. By using this application they directly choose their favourite college and check the college detail. Every day admin apply the college details in the database. Admin update college seat details. Student views the current status of the college seat details.
