An application system named “Automatic college Time Table Generation†is one which automizes the task of subject allocation for the teaching staff of all the departments in the college, schools or organizations charity. Through this system, time table for individual staff and each class can be generated automatically after entering all the inputs which will avoid the tedious manual calculation. With this system, administrative staff can enter class information and the system can perform basic error checking e.g.: time conflict. In addition students and academic staff can look up their time table in real time. The project is developed using ASP.Net and Ms-Access for a standalone application. The basic inputs are obtained from the user and the inputs are processed and the time table is generated accordingly. As time tables are must for educational institutions, this project would be highly helpful to them.
In the existing system, each task is carried out manually and processing is also a tedious job. The Organization is not able to achieve its need in time and also the results may not accurate. Because of the manual maintenance there are number of difficulties and its taking too much of their time. At present many University using manual calculation to allocate classes and labs to various teaching staffs. So the main objective of this application is to reduce the time taken for allocation of classes which is presently being done by tedious manual calculation and it also serves the need of both academic staff and students in looking up their time table frequently.
The time table will be automatically generated depending on the options given by faculties and on the availability of the subjects opted for. This will avoid tedious manual calculations involved to generate the time table as well as various errors corrupting due to manual calculations. The proposed system eliminates the drawback of the existing system to a great extent and it provides automatically time table generation. The proposed method generation of the time table is fast and accurate. The system will provides timetable as the error free conflict. The main advantage is it minimized the manual work and also minimized the documentation related works.
