College Credit System

Abstract

This project is intended for college student’s activities. College Credit system deals with automation process of calculating students marks percentage, attendances percentage, extra-curricular activity skillfulness percentage. According to that gives credit for that particular student in the final year. The various basic information details are gathered and included in this project. This project is also helping the users in an easy manner without any unnecessary wastage of time. The project is also designed with full consideration to help the users accomplish their task more efficiently, accurately and interactively. In this project we calculate the overall percentage mark of the student while the student finishing the degree. Each student’s semester marks were stored in the database. By using these marks, we calculate the aggregate percentage of each student also gives distinction. We determine the attendances percentage of the each student from first year to final year. Then we analyze those are participating in Symposium, national level seminars, conferences also those are get rewards. For that we put marks for that student. We compute those are having cultural skills i.e. students who is participating and winning the awards in cultural program. When the students finishing their studies, in that time we issue credit certificate for all their activities.

Existing System

In existing system, we have done manual work for calculating credits for students. It has a lot of work for the staff to maintain all the information of the students. It is also one of the burdens to the staffs. They maintain each and every record for all the students manually. The credit is also calculated manually by the staffs. Sometimes error also occurs during manual calculation. The staffs have maintained the students record based on their attendance. Academic performance exams attended and their extra-curricular activities. Based on these criteria credit was calculated for the students and have given certificate when they have completed their degree. It will help the students to know their performance during their college day in easy manner. How they perform in college day. They also easily know their percentage of attendance, marks, extra-curricular in a single certificate.

Proposed System

The proposed system overcomes the consequence of the existing system. The burdens of the staff have been reduced. The information about the students is maintained by the software. The students detail such as academic performance, attendance, no.of exams attended, extra-curricular activities, etc are stored in the database. Based on these criteria the credit is also calculated by the system itself. In this project calculate the overall percentage mark of the student while the student finishing the degree. The propose system determine the attendances percentage of the each student from first year to final year. After the credit was calculated the certificate also generated. It can easily print the certificate and given to the students when they have completed their degree.
