Book Store Management System

Abstract

Book selling is the commercial trading of books and distribution end of the publishing process. People who engage in bookselling are called booksellers, bookmen or bookman. In the book store management project, the admin login into the website using the username and the password. The admin can change the login password. The admin add the books in the website by providing the details of the books. The report was generated which contains the name of the book, photo of the book, cost and publisher details. In the book report the admin can edit the details of the books or delete the books that was already stored in the database. The main purpose of the book store management website is to maintain the book details.

Existing System

In the existing system, people have to physically visit the bookshops or vendors for purchasing books of their need and have to make payment through cash mode most of the times due to unawareness of advanced technologies at certain places. The shop owner need to buy the books from the whole sales dealers. If the needed book is not available in the shop the user need to move to another shop to buy the book. This process is so much time consuming and does not provide trust on retailers.

Proposed System

In the proposed system, book store management system provides the storing of books in the online system. Admin login into the website using the username and password. Admin add the book details in the website with their author name, publish date, price, stock details etc. Then the admin can view the details of the book. The details of the books are updated by the admin. Admin can change the password details in the website. User register their details in the website and login into the website by using the username and the password. User search the book by entering the book name and view the details of the book. Then the user place an order for the book and pay the amount through the online transaction.
