Student Performance Prediction System

Abstract

Predicting student’s academic performance is a tedious process for educational institution because strategic programs should be planned in improving or maintaining student’s performance during their period of studies in the institution. To overcome this problem “Student Performance Prediction” is developed. The performance analysis is carried on based on the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average). The administrator login into the system using the user ID and Password. By using the Contact Us option the institution profile can be viewed. The results files of various department will be uploaded into the system by the Admin. The uploaded file can be viewed or it can be deleted by the admin through the file report option. Various department results can be viewed separately by selecting the corresponding department from the department result option. Individual student result can be viewed by entering the roll number. Using the result search option, the admin can view the individual students result details in semester wise, the total percentage of the student and the student performance graph. The Admin can change the Password using the change Password option.

Existing System

Educational organizations are one of the important parts of our society and playing a vital role for growth and development of any nation. In the existing system, the performance prediction process is done in manual way. Information like Attendance, Class test, Seminar and Assignment marks were collected from the student management system, to predict the performance at the end of the semester. The staff need to collect the performance of the student in the paper format which consumes lot of time.

Proposed System

In the proposed system, the admin has the overall control of the website. Admin login into the website using the username and password. Admin enter the details of the student in the website. The result details of the student is entered as the department wise. Admin can view or edit the details that was uploaded in the website. Admin can also search the student details by entering the roll number of the student. Student register their details in the website. Student login into the website and they can view their individual result. Admin can view all the result details of the student and predict the performance of the student.
