FOOD ORDERING SYSTEM-Mini

Abstract

Online food ordering system enables easier way for the customers to order their food through their mobile. It overcomes the disadvantages of the traditional queuing system. Our proposed system is a medium to order online food hassle free from restaurants as well as mess service. This system improves the method of taking the order from customer. The online food ordering system sets up a food menu online and customers can easily place the order as per their wish. Also with a food menu, customers can easily track the orders. Food Ordering System is developed in order to take the food order from the customer in the restaurant. Here, the user can select whatever they wishes to eat and then the user can place their order through this app. Here in this project, the user have to first reserve number of seat for peoples that the user wants to order food for.

Existing System

In the existing system, the customer needs to go to the shop or restaurant to buy foods. All the process are done in a manual way. Before giving food order the customer will view the menu card. The menu card contains the details (such as food item names, price detail, etc.,) about the food available in the restaurant. After ordering the customer needs to wait for a long time in queue to buy the food from the restaurant. If the needed food item is not available in the particular restaurant then the customer needs to go to another shop for buying the needed food item.

Proposed System

In the proposed system the customer can order the food from anywhere at any time through the food ordering app. The restaurant will register their details in the website, and the admin will add the restaurant in the website. The restaurant can login into the website using their username and password. After login into the website the restaurant will add the details about available food items (food name, image of the food and the price amount) in their restaurant. The customer who needs to buy food through online will register their details in the website and search for the needed food. After viewing the food item and price, the customer will order the food item through online. The ordered food will be delivered to the customer by the restaurant. The payment for the ordered food can be done by cash on delivery mode or by using credit card. The customer can reserve a table in the selected restaurant. While reserving the customer can pay some amount in advance through online payment.
