FARMER APP FOR AGRIFARM PRODUCT TRADES

Abstract

Farmer app for Agrifarm product trade will serve as a way for the farmers to sell their products across many peoples in easier way with more profit. This app provides much profit to both the farmer and the consumer since this process is done directly between the farmer and the consumer. The farmer will register in the app by giving the basic details about them. The admin checks whether the registered farmer is truly a farmer or not. After the verification process, if the registered farmer is truly a farmer then the admin accepts the farmer to upload the products in the app. By using their username and password the farmer can access the app at any time. The farmer can change their profile at any time. The farmer will upload the product details (such as rice, wheat, maize, tomato, potato, etc.,) along with the quality of the product, expiry date and price of the product per Kilogram in the app. This app also allows the farmer to modify or remove the uploaded product details at any time. Many farmers will upload the products in the app. The consumer can buy the products by registering into the app and view the available products in the app. By viewing the quality and price, the consumer will order the products by adding the product to the cart. Once the consumer adds all the needed products into the cart, then the consumer can pay the amount through cash on delivery or through credit / debit card. After the completion of shopping, the added products by the consumer to the cart are delivered to the consumer. This app also provides return policy procedure to the consumer i.e., after receiving the product if the consumer finds any of the delivered product is damaged then by using the return policy the consumer can resend it to the particular farmer. The details of the consumer who buys the product from a particular farmer is stored in the particular farmer’s profile.

Existing System

In the existing system to sell the farmed products, the farmer needs to go to nearest market to hand over the farmer product to a particular agent for selling it. Money will not be given to the farmer at the time of hand overing the farmed products to the selling agent or shopkeeper. The shopkeeper/agents ask the farmer to visit the market after a specific time to collect the cash earned out of the sold product. Agent sells the product to another agent or a dealer at a higher cost. By selling the product from agent to agent the farmed product cost increases, but the farmer receives only a little amount of money. There is no way for farmer to know about the deal and the exact amount at which the farmed product was sold. The farmer is not aware of the product rate in different markets where they can sell their products for achieving high profits. So the farmer doesn’t get the maximum profit through the current system. The consumer buys the product from the agents with high cost. So the existing system reduces the profit for both the farmer and the consumer.

Proposed System

Farmer app helps buying agricultural farmed products directly from farmers. It makes the work easier and faster. It is a less time consuming process. There is no need for the farmer to visit market place for selling the farmed products and also there is no need for the consumer to visit the market for purchasing the required products. Human interaction is not necessary and this app provide authentication to the system. The farmer registers their details in the app and the admin will check whether the registered farmer is a real farmer or not. After this verification process, if the registered farmer is a real farmer then the admin will allow the farmer to upload the farmed products which the farmer likes to sell.
