Transport Management System

Abstract

In a fast development society computerization has come to stay as the most important branch of science and it is almost being all automation they are fast replacing the vast processing and assembling manual work in all fields in the information age which requires an educated workforce people today have realized that computer application after definite advantage Computers are making it possible to enhance the quality of the information which is highly valuable for today growth. Now a day’s computers are used in all works of life. The areas of computer web applications are literally too numerous to mention. This project entitled “Transport Manager” Let it might be in a bus depot, an educational organization, or a travel agency, office staff has to maintain a big record of details regarding the bus condition, fuel consumption so far, mechanical works done, and it goes on. It’s huge data which has to be stored in form of files and records. Transport manager helps the office staff to keep track of the date the fuel was filled, fuel consumption so far, repairs undergone by this vehicle, information about the vehicle, it gives an automatically alert when due dates are nearer. So the management of data is easy and paperless.

Existing System

Every transport sector has own paper work which can be done by the company employee. There also the same term in company. The transaction is done manually in old system. Operation become very time consuming, difficult to handle, not reliable as there are majority chance of error occurring. Major loss of data due to manual operation. Time consuming in calculating big amount and can lead to error in the total. Retrieving records of company is difficulty.

Proposed System

System should be window based, user friendly, and efficient. System security must be implemented by preventing unauthorized access to it. Appropriate master table must be present to record relevant data. Security feature must exist in the system. Report should be generated for the following:- • Vehicle Report. • Employee Report. • Customer Report. • Bill Report.
