Hotel Management System

Abstract

The “HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” has been designed keeping take care of both employees and guest. The hotel manages and maintains the record of customers, rooms and employees in the hotel. The room has different categories such as A/c etc. The admin has to perform 3 basic tasks: (1) Adding of rooms to the database (2)Maintain the Hotel rooms (3) Reserve rooms for guests, and (4) Generate bill at the time of guests checking out of the hotel non-A/c., etc. So that their charges and records will be maintained accordingly. This software has been made in a user friendly interface. This Software development includes employee details and salary details and a salary detail contains employee salary.

Existing System

In the existing system, the person who wants to book a room has to visit the hotel for booking hotel rooms and enquiry. In existing system all the work will be done manually. Here all the records will be kept in notebook. It’s difficult to maintain the record details. All the details of the room are maintained in a single record. So searching and upgrading the details is a tedious task and also there is a chance of error. Not only difficult to search the particular data in that record and also any one can misuse that record. Existing method not securely maintains the records.

Proposed System

The proposed system eliminates all the drawbacks of the existing system. Here by using the proposed system, achieving this objective is difficult. By using a manual system the information is scattered, can be redundant and collecting relevant information may be very time consuming. All these problems are solved using the proposed system. In proposed hotel management system all the work will be done by the computerized method. Here the administrator plays the important role. The administrator adds all the information of the room details and the record of all the customers. Check in and Check Out information will be updated in the system. Here user can books the room in advance through this system. In proposed method the data are stored securely in the database. Only authorized person can access the record. No one can misuse the data. The proposed method performs error free method and quick access method.
