Passport Automation System

Abstract

The main aim of the project is to design innovative software, which deals with the passport authority management. The motto of the project is to simplify the job of the administrative people and to render a user-friendly package. The system provides information regarding the passport application and its status (enquiry). The tedious jobs such as verifying all the records of the applicant, confirming that all the personal details are furnished, submission of emigration check documents, passing of police enquiry, positive report from the previous applied section, etc., are done in the most convenient way to the administrator. Also security is being provided in the most proficient way. All the intermediate stages starting from receiving of the application form to revealing the passport number along with the dispatch of the passport are being dealt. This project is developed to manage the passport applications, passport renewals, complaints, processing and issue of passports. This project has main login system. The administrator will enter the username and password to login to the system. If the username and password are correct, it will open the next form. If the entered details are not correct, it will show the error message. The member’s passport applications will be entered by the administrator. The administrator will check entered details and accept or reject the application. The status can be viewed by the administrator. The members can make complaint to the administrator through complaint form. The administrator can view all complaints process the solution. The members renewal application to the administrator through the renew application portal. The administrator can renew or reject the renewal request. The status of the renewal updated in the database.

Existing System

In the previous management system all the details required were taken manually in the form of documents. In this system every individual had to stand in a queue which involved individuals in huge numbers. Hence maintaining of documents submitted for passport registration was a tedious work as many no of individual apply for registration. In this the individual has to go through the passport office foe registering of a passport through a govt. Agent. The Govt. agent who is the mediator, is responsible for registration of passport and any mistake made by the agent makes it a major concern for the individual. These agents demanded a huge amount of money and were not mainly concerned about maintaining the details of every individual in a confidential and secured manner.

Proposed System

The proposed system should eliminate all the drawbacks of the existing system and should have the facilities as per the requirements of the users. The proposed system designed so that the system to meet the requirements with the maximum flexibility. The development of this new system contains the following activities, which try to automate the entire process keeping in the view of database integration approach. User friendliness is provided in the application with various controls provided by system rich user interface. Various classes have been used for maintain the details of all the users and catalog. Report generation features is provided using to generate different kind of reports. In this system the individual fills all the information or details required for passport reservation through online. Authentication is provided for this application only registered users can access.
