    FOUR WAY HACKSAW USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM


    Abstract

    The world today is moving with very fast with high technology. Automation plays an important role in Mechanical industries. Automation is replacement of manual effort by Mechanical power. This project is developed for the users to operate four hacksaws at a same time with a single motor. It consists of four hacksaw frames, power supply, gear motor, control unit etc. The gear motor is connected at the center of all four link rods. The four link rods are connected together using scotch yoke mechanism. So when the motor is switched on, the four link rods are moving to and fro simultaneously. The ends of the rods are connected with hacksaw frames. Thus all the hacksaw frames are working at the same time.
