QUICK LIFTING USING LAZY TONG MECHANISM

    Abstract

The aim of the project is to design and fabricate the working model of a QUICK LIFTING JACK USING LAZY TONG MECHANISM. Normally jack is used to lift any object. This project uses the lazy tong mechanism which enables to move up and down sequentially. The lazy tong mechanism allows this to derive greater height with collapsible zig zag pattern. This project consists of a gear motor, spur gears, crank mechanism, zig zag pattern, etc. The gear motor is connected with one side of the crank. The shaft of the motor is connected with spur gear to rotate the other end of the crank. The zig zag pattern is connected with the two. When the gear motor is operated, the two cranks are rotated and thus the zig zag pattern will move up and down.
