    Oil/Gas Field Air Pollution Monitoring using IOT


    Abstract

    Air pollutants are added in the atmosphere from variety of sources that change the composition of atmosphere and affect the biotic environment. The concentration of air pollutants depend on the quantities that are emitted from air pollution sources such as oil or gas. On introducing Internet of Things (IOT) into the field of environmental protection, this project puts forward a kind of real-time air pollution monitoring and forecasting system. By using IOT, this system can reduce the hardware cost. Thus temperature sensors and moisture sensors are laid in large number in monitoring area to form monitoring sensor network. The temperature sensor senses the temperature of the area and the moisture sensor senses the moisture content in that area. Both signals are send to the microcontroller. It senses the range of the sensors and sends to the server through internet. The temperature and moisture of that particular area can be viewed in the map via mobile application.
