Power Plants Control System using Computer Aided Monitoring and Control

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to view the Wind mill parameters in online manner. It consists of speed sensor, current sensor, voltage sensor, Microcontroller unit, PC interface etc. The current and voltage sensors sense the current and voltage of the Wind mill generator. The speed sensor senses the RPM of the generator. The sensors send signal to the microcontroller unit PIC16F73. The microcontroller analyses the signal and sends the voltage and current of the particular transformer to the PC through serial port IC MAX 232. The software in the PC is designed for sending the speed and individual current and voltage of the wind mill to the internet. The values are dynamically displayed in the screen. Thus the user can monitor the status of particular wind mill in online manner. The design and port programs are written in ASP.Net. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
