Smart Building Management Based on Wireless Sensor Network

    Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks have become an attractive field for research as well as scientific and technological developments. Wireless Sensor Networks can be easily installed and maintained. They comprise of a large number of tiny devices equipped with a few sensors, along with some processing circuits and a wireless transceiver. This project is developed for the purpose of smart building management system based on wireless sensor network. This developed system is mainly consists of power sensor, fire sensor and gas sensor. Gas sensor is used to detect the gas leakage. Power sensor is used to sense the power of the electrical appliances. Further fire sensor is used to detect the fire. All Sensor outputs are given to the microcontroller. The microcontroller sent the signal to the zigbee transceiver. ZigBee protocol is used to transfer information from one module to another. In the controlling section, user can view the building information through PC.
