Dish Antenna Positioning System Using PC

    Abstract

This project is developed for the users to control the direction of a dish through remote control. It mainly consists of a multi channel RF transmitter, multi channel RF receiver, microcontroller unit, driver section, key pad and stepper motor. The RF receiver is connected with stepper motor controlling unit. The dish is connected with the Stepper motor. When the key in the key pad is pressed, the RF transmitter transmits a signal in a particular frequency. The RF receiver receives the signal and sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller controls the stepper motor through driver section. The user can move the dish through 3600 using the hand set. Since this uses microcontroller, the operations will be very sensitive. The microcontroller used is PIC 16F73. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
