Hospital Care Management System

Abstract

E health Care Management System is online management system which is used to management the hospital. This project Advanced e-health care management system includes registration of patients, storing their details into the system and also computerized billing in the pharmacy, and labs. This software has the facility to give a unique id for every patient and stores the details of every patient like inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) automatically. Doctors easily identified the patient with the health parameters and know the medicines which are previously given. After the doctor check-up, the list of medicine details send to the pharmacy. In the pharmacy medicines are ready to deliver to the patient with the correct ID. The system also stores the patient data in a well-defined manner. The surgery patient also claims the insurance using this system. The data are well protected for personal use and makes the data processing very fast. E-health care management System is powerful, flexible, and easy to use and is designed and developed to deliver real benefits to hospitals.

Existing System

The information is very difficult to retrieve and to find particular information like- E.g. To find out about the patient’s history, the user has to go through various registers. This result in inconvenience and wastage of time. The information generated by various transactions takes time and efforts to be stored at right place. Various changes to information like patient Details are difficult to make as paper work is involved. Manual stock taking are error prone and take a lot of time this may result in incorrect information. For example, about the medicine in stock. This becomes a difficult Task as information is difficult to collect from various registers

Proposed System

The system enables registration of patients, staff, nurses and doctors at the reception level .The current diagnosis details of a patient are recorded in the consultation which are retrieved as previous details upon the subsequent visit. the patient either proceeds to the treatment room o their to the laboratory depending on the doctor decision in the consultation room .in the laboratory, results are recorded in the laboratory module which are retrieved in the treatment room through appropriate search methods and the patient treated accordingly. Wrong medications are detected at this point since the doctor enters his identification number. User requirements and other system specifications were collected through observation and interview methods where respondents were able to specify what was needed particularly. The current system is not in any way computerized as per the results from the collected data. The proposed system has the following capabilities:-maintaining patient’s records, registering new patients, enables recording of test results and easy future references. Users can search records more easily.
