    ACCIDENT PREVENTION SYSTEM USING EYEBLINK SENSOR


    Abstract

    In today’s dynamic and overloaded world, we keep ourselves tied up with work day and night and we miss to take sufficient amount of rest. There is a large increase in the road accidents which is mainly caused due to drowsiness or large amount of intake of alcohol by the drivers. This leads to the enormous fatal accidents. Drowsiness is the main cause for major accidents which leads to the injuries, deaths and damages. To overcome this problem, we propose a system which uses various sensors. These sensors are used to detect the driver drowsy and monitors health of the driver. This project is developed for monitoring eye blink& heartbeat. The eyes blink sensor sense the eye blink at normal level. The heartbeat sensor monitor heartbeat of the driver. When the driver sleep in the car, the device will send SMS to another driver through Arduino Micro-controller with the help of GSM module. Whenever the heartbeat sensor value is not in the range of threshold value, the emergency information is sent through GSM to the alternate driver and stops motor through relay and ULN2003 driver using RF wireless technology. The arduino micro-controller program is written in arduino language. All these sensor operations are controlled by arduino Microcontroller. With the help of this system, the major road accidents can be reduced by alerting the driver.
