    AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONER CONTROLLER USING MICRO-CONTROLLER


    Abstract

    An AC (Air Conditioner) which was once considered to be a luxury item and was only to be found in big hotels, movie halls, restaurants etc... But, now almost everyone has an AC in our home to beat out the summer/winter and those who have it, worry about one common thing. That is their high electricity consumption and chargers due to it. In this project we are going to make an Automatic AC Control that could minimize the electricity chargers by varying the AC temperature automatically based on the Rooms temperature. By varying the set temperature periodically, we can avoid making the AC to work for lower temperature values for a long time and thus making it consume less power. The control and monitoring of indoor atmospheric conditions represents an important task with the aim of ensuring suitable working and living spaces for people. This system implemented by using microcontroller and LM35 temperature sensor of National Semiconductor. The system is equipped with a LCD Display to show status of the temperature of AC in °C and relay board to control electronic blower. (i) The system decrease speed of the blower when the temperature of AC is above threshold, which is 28°C. (ii) The system increase speed of the blower if the temperature of AC is below a predefined threshold. (iii) The system increase speed of the blower if the temperature of AC is 5°C. (iv) The system maintain normal speed of the blower if the temperature of AC is 28°C.Thus the room can be kept at constant temperature and the operations are very accurate.
