    MICROCONTROLLER BASED BOREWELL VEHICLE STATUS INFORMER USING GSM


    Abstract

    The objective of this paper is to design an automatic borewell vehicle status informer using Arduino MEGA 2560 microcontroller which can be used for monitoring the number of borewell rods drilled and compressor runtime along with the location of the borewell vehicle. The work is focused on satisfaction of borewell vehicle owner and customer. The number of borewell rods drilled into ground and unloaded from ground is calculated using proximity sensors. The location of borewell machine is monitored using GPS. The Compressor runtime is noted with help of RTC or from the GPS Module. As soon as the compressor is switched ON, an SMS is forwarded to the borewell owner and the customer, along with its location and time. When the drilling process is over the number of rods drilled and total runtime of compressor is sent to owner and customer. An SMS is sent with the help of GSM module. All this process is controlled with the assist of Microcontroller. These measured parameters are entered in memory of SD card for later use. Thus the proposed microcontroller based automatic borewell vehicle status informer using GSM model has been discussed in this project.

    Proposed System

    In this system, the proposed idea includes measuring the total quantity of rods drilled and total compressor runtime along with the precise position of the vehicle by using various sensors interfaced with Arduino MEGA 2560 microcontroller and the calculated parameters are stored in SD card. Also, an SMS will be sent to both owners and customers using GSM module. In this system these techniques are clearly dealt and provided with an explanation and results. The Microcontroller based automatic borewell vehicle status informer using GSM is the main proposed idea.
