    Automatic Health Alert and Reporting System


    Abstract

    Today’s Internet has changed the lives of many people it changed how people live. The Internet serves for many important things. The Internet Of Things (IOT) connects all the objects to the internet. Moreover, it controls those objects remotely, those objects through the internet. Recently, the health care sensors playing a vital role in medical field. The patient monitoring systems is one of the major improvements because of its advanced technology. A growing number of people in a developing country like India forces to look for new solutions for the continuous monitoring of health check-up. It has become a necessity to visit hospitals frequently for doctor’s consultation, which has become financially related and a time consuming process. To overcome this situation, we propose a design to monitor the patient’s health conditions such as heart beat, temperature and flow of the glucose level. This project is used to give the information about patient health and continuously alerting for the time to time providing the medicine to patient about to the Doctors via internet. The main part of the Unit is NODE-MCU Microcontroller, Temperature sensor, Heart beat sensor and flow sensor. The three sensors sense the occurrences continuously. If the value is below or above a certain range, it sends signal to the NODE-MCU Microcontroller unit. The NODE-MCU microcontroller immediately sends signal to device through cloud. In which the data is directly transmitted to the cloud. Using this system doctor and others can continuously monitor the patient’s health condition.


    Existing System

    The main part of the Unit is Arduino Microcontroller, Temperature sensor, Heart beat sensor and flow sensor. The three sensors sense the occurrences continuously. If the value is below or above a threshold value, it sends signal to the Arduino Microcontroller unit. This threshold value is defined by the programmer at the time of programming of microcontroller. The threshold value is as 20 to 120 pulses per minute for heart beat indication & 18°C to 38°C for temperature. This information i.e. the Heart Rate & the Body. Temperature and flow level is then transmitted wirelessly to the doctor which is not in the vicinity of the patient through zig bee technique. The sensors sense the information (All parameter of patient) and transmit it to the LCD Display through arduino.


    Proposed System

    The monitoring system can monitor, the patients all the time. The health parameters data are stored in cloud (thinkspeak). As a result, the doctor can examine his patient from anywhere and anytime. Temperature sensor, Heart beat sensor and flow sensor are connected to the NODE-MCU. The NODE-MCU has only one analog input where it takes the input and send it to the cloud through internet using Wi-Fi and the data is stored in the cloud. The stored data from the cloud is then taken form a mobile device and the data is given to the thinkspeak and the thinkspeak gives the data is fetched and given to the blynk app where the doctors can view the patient’s data time to time. It is needed to install a cloud application in the doctor’s phone handset in order to check easily the incoming data.
