DUAL AXIS SUN TRACKING SOLAR PANEL

    Abstract

Solar energy, the major resource for the future energy can be grabbed by using solar panels. Fixed solar panels can only produce a little amount of the energy from the sun. Here arises the need for solar tracking. Solar panel with solar tracking will maximize the generation of electrical energy from the sun. A Solar tracker is an automated solar panel which actually follows the sun to get maximum power. Even though the initial cost of setting up the tracking system is considerably high, there are cheaper options that have been proposed over time. One such model is the single axis solar panel which is solar panel mounted with trackers that move in one axis. The single axis solar tracker enjoys superiority over fixed solar panel for solar energy conversion but it does not perfectly align the sun’s path in an accurate way resulting in lower energy output during sunny conditions. Most of the panels still operate at less than 40% efficiency. As a result, most people are forced to either purchase a number of panels to meet their energy demands or purchase single systems with large outputs. One of the ways to increase the efficiency of solar panels is to use the DUAL AXIS SOLAR PANEL. It is similar to single axis but it captures the solar energy more effectively by rotating in the horizontal as well as the vertical axis. Therefore, there will be increased exposure of the panel to the sun and generation of high power output.
